Do I need to know the current password?
Yes. Supply a valid user or owner password. The tool does not guess, crack, or bypass passwords.
What if the PDF already opens without a password?
Some PDFs open normally but restrict actions. The tool reports the detected state and only creates an unlocked copy when the supported encryption can be removed.
Are the PDF and password uploaded?
No. They are used only for processing on this device and are not uploaded to The Project Jugaad.
Will signatures remain valid?
Removing encryption rewrites the PDF and can invalidate digital signatures.
Does unlocking change the original encrypted file?
No. The tool creates a separate unencrypted download and leaves the selected file unchanged.
