How do the clues work?
Right place means a correct symbol is in its exact position. Wrong place means a correct symbol belongs in another position.
How are repeated symbols counted?
Right-place matches are counted first. Each remaining symbol is counted once, up to the number of times it appears in the hidden code.
What changes with difficulty?
Easy uses four places, five symbols, no repeats, and ten guesses. Medium allows repeats with six symbols and nine guesses. Hard uses five places, all seven symbols, repeats, and eight guesses.
When is a guess checked?
A complete row is checked automatically after its final symbol is chosen.
